Welcome to Sit and Stay!

For while you are away…

Pets make wonderful companions.  Many of us can admit they are our best friends, or even that we treat them as children. However, when you want to go on vacation or have a trip to take, what to do with them can be confusing.
Sit and Stay provides a new alternative to boarding them in kennels or begging a friend or relative to care for them. We provide in-home pet sitting, so you can simply leave them at home! We meet with you before your trip to make arrangements, then we come in and care for your pets in your absence. We also take in the mail and newspaper, take out the garbage, water the plants, and many other small house sitting tasks.

Butch watches for us when we leave.

Why would I want to do this?

Pets can be anxious enough when their human companions ‘go away' for any period of time. Taking them into a strange new environment can add to this anxiety. Some even become ill. Having an in-home pet sitter can help to prevent much of this anxiety by keeping them in familiar surroundings.

For only one hour...

Everyone can benefit from exercise, even if just for a hour at a time.  Pets are no different.   Walking and playing can burn off extra energy which is often otherwise spend chewing things in the house, barking at passers-by, or otherwise getting into trouble.

For just the day.

So for those times when you simply need someone to come check on your pets during the day, there is Sit and Stay.  Going to the theme park?  Working long hours?  New puppy?  Change of life?  All of these can affect your dog.  Sometimes something as simple as a visit from a friend can help pick up your friends spirits.

Okay, so what do I do now?

We have some of our forms online here. Give us a call at (314) 265-2697 or e-mail us at questions@sitandstaystl.com for questions, information, and scheduling. Prices can vary by age, size, temperament, location, and season.

We understand that breeds deemed ‘aggressive’ are not necessarily aggressive. Breeds such as Rottweilers, Akitas, Pit Bulls, Dobermans, and others can be well mannered depending on their upbringing. However, ALL animals of all species are required to go though a ‘meet and greet’ before a reservation can be made. Please e-mail or call with any questions.
